Incorporated in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1991, AIDS Care Service is the longest continuously operating AIDS service organization in Forsyth County. Crisis Control Ministry, Inc. is a Christian-based ministry whose mission is to assist all Forsyth County residents in crisis to meet esential life needs.

Crisis Control functions as a safety net for the economically poor, working poor, elderly and others who find themselves in survival crises and are searching for one time assistance. This is acomplished through three primary services. Food is provided through their Client Choice Food Pantry, serving over 160 families per month and providing a 7 - 10 day supply of groceries. Their pharmacy is the largest free pharmacy in North Carolina and was the first state-licensed pharmacy in North Carolina. Finally, financial assistance is provided for rent and utilites. CCM maintains two offices in Forsyth County.
