Services:
The COMEA House provides safe and secure emergency shelter for homeless men, women and families; offers transitional housing for single adults; and collaborates to create opportunities for self-sufficiency.

The COMEA House operates two major programs: Basic Emergency Shelter Services (BESS) and the Transitional Living Program (TLP). BESS provides emergency shelter for homeless men, women and families in addition to the following supportive services: case management, daily showers, donation area access, food boxes, travel assistance, agency referrals, breakfast in the morning and a hot, nutritious meal in the evening. Currently, BESS can shelter up to 58 men, 12 women and two families at any given time. The Transitional Living Program is designed for single men and women en route from homelessness to self-sufficiency. The TLP consists of 12 single-room-occupancy (SRO) apartments and a program designed to teach individuals much needed lifeskills. TLP residents are required to pay rent, attend weekly case management meetings, partake in community service activities and attend monthly lifeskills classes. The classes are designed to provide residents with more information in a variety of areas such as job skills, nutrition, finance and wellness.
