Food assistance is available to low income families and families in crisis. USDA income guidelines are used to determine eligibility.

Clients must apply in person. Client must bring a picture ID, Social Security Card and Social Security Cards for all family members . New clients must complete an intake form. All clients must sign an Emergency Food Assistance Form, which designates client as head of household and certifies client is the only person from their household receiving food. The form also require client to report all household income, certify need for assistance, and agree to use food for personal use only.

Provide 10 days worth of food to qualifing families who live in the designated areas surrounding Pilot Mountain Food can be received every 60 days unless circumstances dictate otherwise (i.e. hospitalization, illness, death, loss of employement, etc).

Pick-up times are Tuesday or Friday 9 am to 12 noon each week. We also deliver to one of our local apartment areas for some who are unable to come in and pick-up food. We can assist people with signing up for food stamps in our Galax office.|Clothing|We give clothing to those in the community who need assistance and qualify.
