They help neighbors in crisis attain self-sufficiency by partnering with the community and using their resources wisely to provide vital support services with love and dignity.

One main focus is to provide Family Food Program (groceries)to the low-income families and the homeless with love & dignity. In 2010, they distributed over 4.5 million tons of food to over 4,300 unduplicated families. Children of the very low-income are also a key focus. They have a "Back to School" program that provided over 1,700 needy children with new school clothes, new shoes,socks, underwear, haircuts, manicures, backpacks, art kits and age-appropriate school supplies. Our Health Services offer Vision and Dental Programs along with medical and pharmaceutical services for the homeless. Other Homeless Services provide emergency resources that include bag lunches, motel vouchers, referrals for counseling and drug and alcohol programs. Holiday Programs provide bountiful food boxes for  Thanksgiving and generous food boxes, new toys, clothing for children at the Holidays.

Services:
The program provides emergency food services in East San Gabriel Valley. Services include ongoing and occasional emergency food. There are no geographic restrictions. The pantry primarily serves the cities of Azusa, Baldwin Park, Covina, El Monte, Glendora, La Puente, Pomona, and West Covina; however, no one is turned away. Ongong program distribution is once a month. People receive a bag or box of canned and dry packaged goods, produce and meat products. Homeless people may come in once a week and receive no-cook types of food. A program for seniors provides a brown bag program every other week. Emergency food may be available in dire situations on other days of the week. The Director is available by cell phone; a warm transfer from the CRA is required. Clients may utilize a specialized resource center for referrals to legal assistance, transitional housing, sober living and tattoo removal. The food pantry accepts food donations from many sources in the valley as well as from Regional Food Bank.

The program provides emergency food for low-income residents of Alhambra, Monterey Park, Rosemead, San Gabriel and Temple City, including people who are undocumented and who are homeless. Services are restricted to Alhambra, Arcadia, Monterey Park, Rosemead, San Gabriel and Temple City residents. The program provides bags of groceries which contain USDA surplus food, canned and packaged dried goods and powdered milk. The amount of groceries varies with family size but is enough to last approximately four days. Baby food and infant formula are usually available. People may receive assistance once a month. Seniors 65 years and older who live independently may be assisted once per month; groceries can be delivered to seniors who live in Rosemead if they are disabled with no transportation.
