The chief executive who knows his strengths and weaknesses as a leader is likely to be far more effective than the one who remains blind to them. He also is on the road to humility -- that priceless attitude of openness to life that can help a manager absorb mistakes, failures, or personal shortcomings.

The path of least resistance and least trouble is a mental rut already made. It requires troublesome work to undertake the alternation of old beliefs. Self-conceit often regards it as a sign of weakness to admit that a belief to which we have once committed ourselves is wrong. We get so identified with an idea that it is literally a "pet" notion and we rise to its defense and stop our eyes and ears to anything different.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) provides funds to organizations sponsoring summer programs to serve nutritious meals to low-income children age 18 and under when school is out Most sites can serve a maximum of two meals per day or a meal and a snack. Summer food sponsor sites include schools, parks & recreation programs, low-income housing complexes, or community parks and pools There are two types of feeding sites: OPEN: Meals made available on a first-come, first-serve basis. OPEN-RESTRICTED: Limited number of meals available due to limited space or staff. Instruct callers to contact the site first and to show up to the meal service as early as possible This is a new statewide initiative and the first with a state agency.

8am-4pm, M-F; Call the Summer Food Service Toll-Free Number to obtain location information
