CAFB can handle and store a large amount of perishable food and distributes it quickly to those in need. This efficiency benefits Partner Agencies and food donors, and it encourages donors’ participation. CAFB’s transportation and warehouse staff members follow strict food handling guidelines to ensure that the food safely reaches the people who need it. CAFB Partner Agencies also receive extensive training on proper food handling procedures.Program:SNAP (Food Stamp) OutreachBudget: NaNCategory: Population Served: Poor/Economically Disadvantaged, Indigent, General Program Description: SNAP (Supplimental Nutrition Assistance Program), formerly known as Food Stamps, helps individuals and families meet basic nutritional needs and afford a balanced diet.
