Services: OVERVIEW: Offers an array of services to the residents of Harford County. - - SERVICES: - 1) FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Provides $100 (does not have to be the last $100) towards an eviction notice or a utility turn-off notice (not water). The funds are paid directly to either the landlord or the utility provider. Must have current photo ID, proof of need, proof of income, and social security card. Call to schedule an appointment. Appointments are scheduled within 48 hours. - - 2) FOOD PANTRY: Offers non-perishable food to individuals in need. This is limited to once every 30 days. Must bring current photo ID and social security card. No referral needed. Also provides food give-aways on the 3rd Tues of each month, between 2-4PM. Offers fresh fruits and vegetables during the give-aways. - - 3) WRAPAROUND MENTORING: Provides 1-1 mentoring and goal setting with children in elementary and middle school and their families. Children that are served in this program exhibit behavioral problems at school or in the home. No referral needed. - - 4) SUMMER DAY CAMP 2017: Offers children 4-15 a 7-week summer day camp. Walk-in for an application ($30) and return April-late June. The academic and recreational based camp is $475. Scholarships are available and will accept Purchase of Care vouchers. Installment payments accepted for the $475. - - 5) FIRST TIME HOMEBUYER: Purchases and refurbishes homes in Harford County to resell them to low-moderate income families several times a year. There is a set income eligibility, the family must be at or below 50%-80% of the FPL. If the family is accepted into the program they will be required to take homebuyer workshops. - - 6) ADDICTIONS SUPPORT: Offers spiritual peer support group, Tue, 7-9PM. - - 7) SCHOOL SUPPLIES 2017: No event for 2017. - - 8) HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE 2017: - o Thanksgiving: Provides Thanksgiving baskets to those in need on a first come, first served basis. Call to sign-up and for additional information. - - o Christmas: Offers a Harvest Dinner the first Wed of Dec. Provides a hot meal, toys, hats, gloves, and gifts for seniors. Dinner for seniors will begin at 3-5PM and dinner for families, 6-8PM. No need to call, walk-in on Wed, Dec 6.

Services: OVERVIEW: Provides assistance to residents of Harford County. - - SERVICES: - 1) FOOD CLOSET: Provides non-perishable food and occasionally frozen meat to those in need, Tues-Fri, 10-11:45AM and 1-2:45PM. Can only be utilized once every 30 days. Also accepts food and monetary donations. - - 2) FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Provides financial assistance to persons with court-ordered evictions or gas and electric turn-off notices when funds are available. They will assist if the service has been recently turned off, but will not assist with old bills. Limited to once per year. They are NOT a Fuel Fund site. Financial assistance is NOT available during the months of December and January. - - 3) YOUTH GROUP: Offers a youth group during the school year, Sept-June, on Tues, 5:30-7:30PM, young people, ages 6 through 17, visit the Corps for a meeting, prayer, dinner, and arts and crafts. Transportation is provided. - - 4) SUMMER CAMP 2018: Provides a one-week camp program in Hedgesville, West Virginia at Camp Tomahawk, July 20-25th, to approximately 20 youths, ages 6-12, from low income families. Youths are selected on a first come, first served basis. Applicants are encouraged to start calling as early as April. Transportation is provided to the camp. Caller for more information. - - 5) HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE 2017: - o THANKSGIVING: See Christmas registration information below. - - o CHRISTMAS: Offers a food basket and toys to families with children. Registration begins Mon, Oct 9th-Fri, Oct 13th, 9AM-4PM. Bring in three gift suggestions for children 12 and younger (each gift suggestion should cost less than $30). During this time, families can also register for Thanksgiving baskets. Unfortunately, it is not guaranteed that Thanksgiving baskets will be provided to applicants. - MUST have ALL of the following required documentation: - --Valid Maryland ID card - --SS cards for all household members - --Proof of all income sources (pay stubs/DSS/child support, food stamp letter) - --Proof of expenses (current electric, gas, oil, water bills; car payment and insurance, etc) - --Proof of residence (Section 8, public housing or HUD) - --Must provide the paper including the break-down of family members, monthly rent and birth certificates for all children, ages 12 years and under - --Must know the clothing & shoe sizes, and 3 specific gift suggestions for all children.
