Provides up to $500 once a year as long as client can come up with the remainder from other organization(Salvation Army, FISH, Churches, etc.). The FAMILY must be homeless or in the verge of homelessness. SERVICES:1) CRISIS SITUATION: Assists eligible families who are experiencing crisis situations, including homelessness(must pass a drug test), utility turn-offs, evictions, natural disasters (i.e., fires, floods), security deposits, and/or dire need for prescription medication (can be individuals). Also can assist persons stranded away from home or a job. Those families seeking financial assistance will be referred to the Community Action Agency.Can only be used once in a 24 month period.
