Provides Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), TANF and Medicaid programs for children and low income families.

SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program) - A supplemental food program that enables eligible households to obtain a more nutritious diet Eligibility is determined by income, resources and household size Benefits are deposited into an account which is accessed by using an EBT card The EBT card is used to purchase edible, nutritious food items only.

TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) is financial assistance for children when one parent is absent from the home; both parents are absent and the children are living with a relative; or both parents are in the home but one is unable to work for medical reasons or one is unemployed under certain criteria.

Medical programs help with medical expenses if the individual is eligible based on income and assets:
1) Programs for the elderly or disabled include assistance with costs for nursing home care, assisted living, home care in lieu of nursing home, adjustment training center programs, and hospitalization Medicare Saving's Programs may pay the Medicare Premium (giving the individual more monthly income) and in some situations, pay the Medicare deductibles and co-payments.
2) Programs for families with children include LIF where both the adult(s) and the children may be eligible for medical coverage.
3) Program for pregnancy coverage helps with medical costs related to pregnancy/delivery
4) CHIP medical coverage for children under age 19

Work Programs - TANF and Food Stamp clients will be involved in programs at One Stop Career Center (Job Service) to help them become self-sufficient. This includes supportive services, testing, short-term training and obtaining employment.
