Services: Provides supportive services to very low-income Veteran families living in or transitioning to permanent housing. Under this program, CAPMC aims to improve very low-income Veteran families’ housing stability in Mercer County. CAPMC will provide eligible Veterans and their families with outreach, case management, and assistance in obtaining VA and other benefits, which may include:Health care servicesDaily living servicesPersonal financial planning servicesTransportation servicesFiduciary and payee servicesLegal servicesChild care servicesHousing counseling servicesIn addition, veterans may also be eligible for time-limited payments to third parties (e.g., landlords, utility companies, moving companies, and licensed child care providers) if these payments help them and their families stay in or acquire permanent housing on a sustainable basis.

Services: Assists veterans who expaeriencing a financial hardship. Helps to meet a variety of unforeseeable emergency needs. Provides food vouchers in emergency situations. In certain circumstances provides rent payments, utility payments, mortgage payments, prescriptions, and principle car payments. Assists with burial expenses for indigent veterans. Assistance cannot be used for an extended basis and is generally for emergency, one time needs.
Hours: M-F: 8:30am-4:30pm
Eligibility: Serves veterans with discharge for honorable service or under honorable conditions, and must have been on active duty for other than training purposes. Must be a resident of Lake County for at least 90 days. Funeral assistance is only provided for indigent veterans. Client can receive assistance as often as determined by the agency on a case by case basis.
Documents To Bring: Documentation requirements are extensive and will vary with service sought. They will include at least: DD214 and proof of residency in Lake County for at least 90 days. For burial assistance, must be able to prove need.

Eligibility: Income eligible families with children in the home aged 18 and under who are in school. There is a maximum for each need only one time per year and there is a lifetime limit.
