Services: Through the provision of food, shelter, clothing, a life-recovery program, life skills education, and other training, Joy Junction seeks to strengthen families and empower individuals to re-enter the workforce, breaking the cycle of homelessness, one life at a time. The shelter provides both emergency and longer-term services for homeless women, children, and families. Single men are accepted as space is available. The largest shelter of its kind in New Mexico, Joy Junction shelters as many as 300 people daily. Joy Junction provides three meals a day, seven days a week. In one month, the shelter serves about 10,000 meals to its guests on site.
Joy Junction also hosts special holiday meals, including an annual Thanksgiving feast at the Albuquerque Convention Center. At this event, more than one thousand homeless and hungry individuals are served, with the help of the City of Albuquerque, local businesses, and hundreds of volunteers. Joy Junction also prepares special holiday meals which are served at the shelter. Program Description: Seven days a week, the Lifeline of Hope visits a variety of locations frequented by the homeless and near homeless in Albuquerque. The mobile food wagon serves about 6,000 meals a month and distributes blankets and personal hygiene supplies as they are available. Program Description: The life recovery program, called the Christ in Power Program (CIPP), teaches a variety of skills necessary for entry-level employment and independent living. The CIPP follows the curriculum of the Life Recovery Bible (Tyndale House Publishers). Program Description: Joy Junction also serves its residents through an on-site thrift store, which offers a variety of donated items for sale. The thrift store serves as a resource for residents and needy families in the community and also provides income for shelter programs and vocational training opportunities for shelter residents. Program Description: Joy Junction provides transportation to the shelter which is located approximately six miles south of downtown Albuquerque. The first priority of the transportation service is to bring homeless guests to safe shelter where they will also receive nutritious meals, clothing, and other services.
Beyond this basic transportation service, Joy Junction also provides rides from the shelter to key locations in Albuquerque, so that homeless guests can access public transportation, employment opportunities, and services and resources available at other agencies, health facilities, and governmental offices.

Services: It is the mission of Metropolitan Homelessness Project to end homelessness in Albuquerque, on both individual and societal levels, through a unified voice of advocacy, prevention and service. 1. Albuquerque Opportunity Center - an emergency shelter and services center that accommodates 71 men 18 years or older nightly.
2. VetTran - a veterans transitional housing program that targets male veterans re-rentering the workforce. 15 beds available through a per diem grant from the VA.
