Services: The Shepherd Center is an ecumencial ministry of churches, synagogues and religious organizations in Rapides Parish We are a ministry of last resort for persons experiencing economic distress We are a multi-purpose, non-profit centere dedicated to helping people who want to help themselves We provide emergency assistance for people in time of crisis through: food pantry; utility assistance; rent assistance; prescription medication; transportation; household furnishings; referrals and advocacy; and spiritual counseling by ministers of participating congregations when appropriate We also provide case management for homeless prevention We accept applications for assistance Monday through Friday, 8AM to 12 noon and 1PM to 4PM.

*Social Security card or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number(ITIN) card or letter for your self and each person to be claimed on your tax return
*Birth dates for every person to be claimed on your tax return
*W2 or 1099 forms for all jobs held in 2011
*End of the year statements for other income you received (including bank interest, social security income, unemployment, etc.)
End of the year retirement plan statements (401 (k), IRA, etc.)
*Child care provider name, address and tax ID number
Record of expenses (child care, education, medical, dental, etc.)
For a faster refund, a blank check or deposit slip, with your account number and bank routing number
