Each spring and fall Adopt a Native Elder sends supplies to Elders who live in poverty in remote underserved areas of reservation. These food runs bring food, health supplies, tools, etc. to help Navajo Elders remain at home as they age with basic security, comfort and safety. Food Runs also consign rugs from weavers and bring them yarn to continue to weave even though they are too old to herd sheep for wool. ANE sells rugs for weavers at no charge, through rug shows and internet catalogue.
