PRESCRIPTIONS: If the Free Medical Clinic cannot help you, the Emergency Assistance program can pay up to $25 per individual per year
PROJECT HOLIDAY: Provides a food box to make a holiday meal in December. registration is required and happens in November
RENT DEPOSIT ASSISTANCE: Rent deposit assistance is available on Mondays at 11 am on a lottery basis
RENT ASSISTANCE: Helps with overdue rent on Mondays at 11 am on a lottery basis
SUICIDE SURVIVORS SUPPORT GROUP: Meets on the first Thursday of the month from 7 pm-8:30 pm The group is designed for people who have lost a loved one to suicide
TRANSIENT SERVICES: Provides one-time transportation assistance to people who do not live in Johnson County and are stranded here Assistance to next largest town such as Cedar Rapids or Davenport Small car repair and assistance with gasoline (if funds available) Additional eligibility requirements apply-call for more information
UTILITY BILL ASSISTANCE: Helps with past due gas, water and electric bill It is available on Mondays at 11 am on a lottery basis. If your name is chosen then the Crisis Center of Johnson County may help with the last $100 of one of your utility bills
UTILITY DEPOSITS: Emergency funds are available on a limited basis for utility deposits and past due bills

Services: *Prenatal and postpartum visits to new moms to assess well being of mom and infant, assess for high risk factors in the home, and ensure appropriate parenting and child care skills.
*Immunization Clinics - Offers periodic immunizations for infants and children for uninsured and under insured families who cannot afford to obtain the immunizations from a physician office.
* Oral Health Services: Provides referral and funding for children with emergent dental conditions.
*Preventive Protective Home Visits - Home visits made by Family Advocates and/or social workers to families at increased risk for child abuse and/or neglect. Assists families to obtain needed health and social services in the community. This program is voluntary. Goal is to promote appropriate parenting and child care skills.
*Lead Poisoning Prevention Program provides lead screening, case management, and cleaning services if needed, for families at risk for lead poisoning.
CARE FOR KIDS Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) assists families who qualify for Title XIX in setting up well child physicals, immunizations, dental care, and other needed medical services in the community.
