Services: The Caring Place is an ecumenical Christian, non-profit organization. Its mission is to model the love of Christ by addressing basic spiritual, physical, and social needs of people in Bradley County, Tennessee. The Caring Place serves individuals who demonstrate that they live at or below the Federal Poverty Guidelines for their family size, possess a picture ID, bring Social Security cards for each family member, and bring in proof of address.
For single adults they are given a 20 pound bag of food once a month. Households of more than one are given two bags per month. Consumers are also allowed to shop in their gently used clothing area for free and can receive free social work services from a licensed social worker.

Program Description: They are developing several locations within Bradley County where families of low economic means can go to be educated about gardening, use city/community owned property to garden on, and where excessive produce can be grown and provide a fresh food source for their food bank.
