*MICA's Living With HIV program helps individuals with HIV in Boone, Franklin, Greene, Hardin, Hamilton, Marshall, and Story counties coordinate essential health services. Services include referrals to infectious disease specialists, locating medical and prescription coverage, and referrals to substance abuse and mental health programs. The Living With HIV program, in some circumstances, also helps individuals with living expenses and gasoline vouchers. MICA started the program in 2000.
The Living With HIV program is based in Mid-Iowa Community Action's Story County office in the lower level of the Story County Human Services Building, 126. S. Kellogg, Ames. For more information, call (515) 956-3312.
