Also, assists with burial assistance ( deceased individuals must have been a Howard County resident and must have been receiving either TCA or SSI; not eligible if they received Social Security), first month's rent for an individual or family moving into a new home (grants will be provided based on income and demonstrated need, and individuals must be a Howard County resident and must be able to demonstrate ability to continue to pay rent after assistance is provided), and will assess for other qualifying emergency needs. Does not assist with foreclosures.
