Services: Provides temporary emergency financial aid for help with rent payments and utility bill payments. Rent must be at least 30 days past due; utilities covered include electric, natural gas, propane, heating oil, water, and sewer. Payments are generally the amount needed to retain or restore service, although if that amount is large, the payment may not cover entire amount. Funds expire quickly. This is a program of last resort; clients cannot receive ongoing support from this program. Clients can receive rent or utility assistance once per year.
Hours: M-F: 8:00am-4:30pm.
Eligibility: Residents of Holmes, Coshocton, Ashland, and Knox counties, whose rent is 30 days past due or who have a disconnect notice from their utility company. Family income must be less than 125% of the Federal Poverty Limit.

The maximum assistance available is $200 every 6 months. One time rent assistance of $100 may be available, but consumer should call the Salvation Army in Bowling Green to be screened for assistance (419-352-5918).
