*When funding permits, the agency may provide: 1) assistance with utility bills (including propane) or utility deposits; 2) assistance with rent or rental deposits (not both); 3) very limited funding for prescription assistance, food vouchers, gas vouchers, and bus tokens; 4) weatherization of homes to become more energy efficient and emergency home repairs
*Only priority households will be served the first 15 days of the month, which is defined as seniors over 60, families with a child under 5 or elderly person in home, disabled persons with a documented disability, persons with serious medical conditions which could worsen due to lack of utilities. Other qualifying households will be served the 16th through the end of the month, if funding permits.
*TO APPLY FOR ASSISTANCE IN ALL COUNTIES, AN APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED, NO WALK-INS WILL BE SERVED. PERSONS SHOULD FOLLOW PROMPTS WHEN CALLING OR CHECK WEB SITE TO GET EXTENSIVE LIST OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO BRING. Only life threatening emergencies will be handled outside of the appointment process, if necessary.
*For persons unable to come in due to disability or other very extenuating circumstances, outreach team may be able to arrange home or phone appointment
