Must meet 150% of poverty guidelines If over the guidelines and have medical expense, can be between 151% to 175 % of the poverty guidelines
FOOD PANTRY: (Jones County Community Cupboard) Food Pantry available to Jones County residents No income guidelines.
HEAD START: Provides comprehensive child development experience to children ages three to five Comprehensive social service, health, education, nutrition, and parent involvement components are also provided Volunteer role models/mentors are needed at breakfast and lunch times Must meet income guidelines, bring immunization records, income statements and social security card/number to application appointment.

Services: CACFP HOME DAYCARE PROVIDERS: Reimburses child care providers for qualifying meals served to children in their care Also supplies nutrition education through newsletters, home visits, recipes, menus, and activity ideas.
CHORE SERVICES: Approved clients hire someone to do outside chores such as lawn mowing, snow shoveling, and trimming The program reimburses the client for the cost up to $6.00 per hour.
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE: Clients may receive emergency funds to buy a prescription or to avoid a utility disconnection Program works best in conjunction with other assistance.
ENERGY ASSSTANCE: The LIHEAP program provides financial assistance with home heating costs between November 1st and end of April.
FADSS - A program that assists families who receive FIP to become more self-sufficient.
HEAD START: Center based preschool for children 3 or 4 years of age by September 15th of the enrollment year Centers are located in Tipton and Durant.
HOUSING INITIATIVE: This program is for renters only. Eligible participants must be renters and have an eviction notice or be homeless, or a homeowner who is losing their home and will be renting A requirement of the program is to work with an assigned case worker who will assist the individual with housing stability.
INCOME TAX: Provides free income tax preparation
WEATHERIZATION: Weatherization is available to eligible LiHEAP recipients The program evaluates the house to discover areas of heat loss and then develops a plan to address the problems that can be corrected.

RECORDER OFFICE: Issues licenses for birth, boating, death, fishing, hunting, marriage and snowmobiles
VETERAN SERVICES: Helps wartime veterans or the family of a wartime veteran with rent, utilities, and limited medical expenses in time of need
