Services: The Emergency Crisis Program provides assistance with mortgage and rent payments, utility bills, fuel oil & kerosene purchases, life-necessary pharmaceuticals, food, and clothing Payments are made directly to vendors; cash is never given Applicants must live in the ECCCM service area.
The Crisis Assistance Coaching Program is a mandatory program for crisis applicants, which is structured to assist persons in budgeting, goal setting, decision making, menu creation, and shopping habits. Participation and completion of the program leads to self-sufficiency.

Services: The mission of Rowan Helping Ministries is to serve, through cooperative community action, our neighbors in Rowan County who are in crisis, by providing essential life needs and educating and empowering them to break the cycle of crisis.
Our mission is accomplished by:
-- Raising and coordinating the resources necessary for crisis assistance.
-- Administering the programs and services for the distribution of resources to those in need.
-- Training and coordinating volunteers so that they may carry out the mission of Rowan Helping Ministries' programs.

USDA Food Program
Clients who receive Food & Nutrition Services (Food Stamps) are eligible to receive USDA food Clients are eligible for USDA food every 30 days You do NOT need any ID or social security cards to qualify for USDA food
Clients are eligible for clothing every 30 days A minimum of photo ID, social security card and income information is required Clothing is given to each household member that has social security card and/or documented number on file.
Clients may be eligible for financial assistance if the household has experienced an event beyond its control (Examples: Decrease in household income, a member of household recently unemployed, health related emergency, unusual/unexpected expenses (car repair, funeral, etc) There's always funding available, but individuals or families must be experiencing a crisis to be eligible for any financial assistance.
Documentation required for Financial Assistance:
Must bring documentation proving crisis. (ex. car repair receipt)
Photo ID for all individuals in the household 18 yrs or older.
Social Security cards for all members in the household.
SSA/SS Disability income letter for current year (all household members)
Paycheck stub (within last 30 days)
ESC job search printout (if unemployed) - (within last 30 days)
