Commodities distribution program that provides emergency food boxes containing a 3-day supply of food once per month per household. Food is available on a rotating basis and may not be the same at all USDA locations. Recipients usually receive a variety of vegetables, fruit, pasta, and protein. Households can get bread and produce every day the pantry is open (usually includes rice,beans, oats, and pasta). Clothing, small appliances, and dishes are also sometimes available. No ID needed for emergency food. For clothing/kitchenware, two current pieces of ID to prove residence are required, such as a photo ID and a piece of mail showing current address. If homeless, no ID is required.
