Services: Children's Hospital, New Orleans, Pediatric AIDS Program (PAP) sponsors the Maternal/Child AIDS Program (M-CAP) through use of title Part D Ryan White funds. Besides providing the necessary advocacy to HIV+ women, children, adolescents and families, the program provides health management, counseling, volunteer services and childcare. We initially offer services to all HIV+ pregnant mothers and continue services after delivery, whether or not HIV infects the newborn. M-CAP provides services to the nine Northwest LA parishes.
Our staff includes a resource developer and a care coordinator. Together they coordinate efforts with other medical and community organizations to improve existing and/or to establish new services to meet the continuing needs of HIV+ mothers and their families.
A Care Coordinator will help you in gaining access to a full range of needed services including medical, social, educational, housing, benefits, finances, legal and other support services. Monthly follow-up meetings are provided to ensure quality of care and services.

Services: The Caddo Community Action Agency, Inc. (CCAA) was established in 1966 (CAP-CAB) under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1064 In 1972, CAP-CAB was changed to the Caddo Community Action, Inc. (CCAA) The agency's purpose is to provide social services to the poor, disadvantaged, elderly and handicapped persons of Caddo Parish As a non-profit organization geared toward aiding the poor, CCAA offers a multiplicity of services to thousands of indigents in Caddo Parish The activities, policies, and procedures of the agency are supervised by the Board of Directors which consists of 21 members.
There are four (4) Community Service Centers located in both rural and urban areas, which provide services for the underprivileged The Community Service Center system is located strategically in areas of the economically underprivileged Each center administers programs geared to the individual needs of the community it serves Through agency referrals, members of the community are informed of the various social and economic resources which are available to them Services offered include emergency relief, food bank, senior citizen activities, citizenship education classes, volunteer income tax assistance and recreational activities Through these and other center functions, the Community Service Centers assists persons in need which allows them to more firmly establish themselves as responsible citizens.
