Services: Offers an array of services to the residents of Harford County.SERVICES:1) FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Provides $100 (does not have to be the last $100) towards an eviction notice or a utility turn-off notice. The funds are paid directly to either the landlord or the utility provider. Must have current photo ID, proof of need, proof of income and social security card. Call to schedule an appointment. Appointments are scheduled within 48hours.2) FOOD PANTRY: Walk-in during business hours to receive one bag of non-perishable food. This is limited to once every 30 days. Must bring current photo ID and social security card. No referral needed.3) WRAPAROUND MENTORING: Provides 1-1 mentoring and goal setting with children in elementary and middle school and their families. Children that are served in this program exhibit behavioral problems at school or in the home. No referral needed. 4) SUMMER DAY CAMP: Offers children 4-15 a 7-week summer day camp. Walk-in for an application ($30) and return April-late June. The academic and recreational based camp is $475. Scholarships are available and will accept Purchase of Care vouchers. Installment payments accepted for the $475.5) 1ST TIME HOMEBUYER: Purchases and refurbishes homes in Harford County to resell them to low-moderate income families several times a year. There is a set income eligibility, the family must be at or below 50%-80% of the FPL. If the family is accepted into the program they will be required to take homebuyer workshops.6) ADDICTIONS SUPPORT: Spiritual peer support group, meets on Tue, 7-9PM.7) HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE:o School Supplies 2012: Event Under the Tent runs the 2nd Sat in Sept. Provides school supplies, cleaning products, and food. The date will be 9/8/2012.o Thanksgiving 2012: Provides Thanksgiving baskets to those in need (about 100 families). Call early Sept to sign-up. Distribution will be 11/19/12.o Christmas 2012: Offers a Harvest Dinner the first Wed of December. Provides a hot meal, cleaning supplies, toys, hats, gloves, and gifts for seniors. No need to call, walk-in on 12/5/12.

Provides up to $100 for prescriptions and up to $75 for other financial concerns.
Eligibility: Open to anyone in need, who lives within the catchment area. Financial assistance is available once every 12 months.

Services provided to disadvantaged elderly individuals include legal problems such as SSA, SSI, and Medicare, landlord problems, utility turn-offs, nursing home problems and assisted living. Will refer to other resources if cannot assist client. Will also provide mortgage foreclosure counseling and representation.

Also can assist persons stranded away from home or a job. Those families seeking financial assistance will be referred to the Community Action Agency.Can only be used once in a 24 month period. EX: SNAP. Must have ID. This is held mid-month on a Sat, 9AM-12Noon. Call to check for dates. - - 4) FURNITURE MINISTRY: Provides furniture assistance, call and leave a message. - - 5) MANNA HOUSE: Offers a soup kitchen and groceries every Wed, 11:30AM-1PM. Open to anyone in need. - - 6) RAISING OUR CHILDREN'S KIDS SUCCESSFULLY (R.O.C.K.S): Offers a support group for grandparents raising their grandchildren. SERVICES: - 1) INFORMATION & REFERRAL: Offers information and referral for mental health resources. - - 2) FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Provides financial assistance for mental health prescriptions or lab tests and emergency assistance on a case by case basis. The person must have a certified mental illness and currently be in treatment. Call for more information. 3) INDEPENDENT HOUSING ASSISTANCE: Assists with security deposits for persons moving out of supervised facilities into their own home or from a homeless situation, on a case by case basis. The person must have a certified mental illness and currently be in treatment. This is only to be used as a last resort. 4) RESPITE CARE: Provides assistance with respite care for families of children/adolescents, up to 17 years old, with severe emotional disturbance. - - 5) GRIEVANCES/APPEALS: Assists with complaints in regard to the publicly funded mental health system. 6) EMPLOYMENT NETWORK: Provides the "Ticket to Work" program for people receiving a SSI or SSDI payments for mental health diagnosis.
Eligibility: Determined on a case by case basis. Most services require the client to have a state certified mental illness and currently be in treatment.

Transportation is provided.6) SUMMER CAMP: Provides a one-week camp program in Hedgesville, West Virginia at Camp Tomahawk, in July to approximately 20 youths, ages 6-12, from low income families. Youths are selected on a first come, first served basis. Applicants are encouraged to start calling as early as April. Transportation is provided to the camp.7) VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Provides Bible instruction, crafts and age-related activities for one week during the summer months at the Corps (ages 6-13). Transportation is provided free of charge. 8) HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE 2012: CLOSEDWALK IN TO SIGN-UP SEPT 15-26.o CHRISTMAS: Offers gift cards and toys to anyone in need. Bring in threegift suggestions$30 or less for children 0-12. o THANKSGIVING: Must come in to sign up. Call before to check availability. MUST have ALL of the following required documentation:--Valid Maryland ID card --SS cards for all household members --Proof of all income sources (pay stubs/DSS/child support, food stamp letter)--Proof of expenses (current electric, gas, oil, water bills; car payment and insurance, etc)--Proof of residence (Section 8, public housing or HUD)--Must provide the paper including the break-down of family members, monthly rent and birth certificates for all children, ages 12 years and under --Must know the clothing & shoe sizes, and 3 specific gift suggestions for all children. 9) DONATIONS : Accepts new clothing, toiletries, gloves, coats, toys and food.
