Assistance may be in the form of bags of groceries or sack lunches, depending on the situation. People who are homeless are not eligible for the groceries but are assisted with a sack lunch. Services are restricted to Bell, Cudahy, Huntington Park, Maywood, South Gate, and Walnut Park.
People may receive a bag of groceries which contains canned and packaged dried goods, vegetables and fruit, when available. The type and amount of food provided depends upon donations and items available from the food bank. People may be helped as often as needed. Senior citizens who receive social security regularly are assisted once per month unless there are special circumstances which increase the need.
People who are homeless or have no cooking facilities can come to the center for a sack lunch. The sack lunch contains items like dried instant soup or noodles, cookies and fruit. People may use this resource as often as necessary.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 12:00pm; 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

Documents To Bring: ID for the head of the household, ID such as birth certificates, social security cards or immunization cards for all children, proof of income and residence are required; in most instances, people are seen and assisted the same day as they apply.
