Services: GENERAL SERVICES - Consists of Emergency Intervention and Self-Sufficiency Services.
Within each program component a service plan is developed based on information gathered during a comprehensive assessment. Strong case management facilitates client movement either along a service continuum or directly to economic independence.
The service components address a variety of service needs and provide direct assistance with rent and utilities. Emergency and Self sufficiency Services may also provide bus passes and food vouchers. Individuals/ families may be eligible for services, based on eligibility and funding. All services are provided in the context of an individual service plan between the applicant and the case manager, with jointly agreed upon goals, working toward the ultimate goal of gaining or regaining self sufficiency.
This office can also provide assistance with LIHEAP (Low Income Energy Assistance Program) Appointment is required.

Services: Availability of approximately $584,000 in funding from federal and state grants allocated to the City to address owner occupied residential repair needs for low to moderate income households throughout the City of West Palm Beach. This limited funding is made available through Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP). In addition, subject to budget approval by City Commission, the City of West Palm Beach will make available approximately $300,000 in HOME Investments Partnership Program (HOME) funds for Homebuyer Assistance. The Housing Stabilization Program provides one-time funding not to exceed $3,000 for eligible applicants to obtain safe, decent and affordable rental housing within West Palm Beach city limits. Financial assistance may include first and last months rent.
Eligibility: Must be West Palm Beach resident. Priority will be given to the elderly, disabled and veterans during the initial application intake period. Reasonable accommodations can be made for applicants with special needs who require assistance with the completion or submission of their application.
