Services: Emergency financial assistance, shelter, case-managementProfessional caseworkers and trained volunteers provide emergency food, transportation, utilities, furniture, minor medical prescriptions, referrals for emergency shelter, and homeless-prevention help, including rent and utility assistance. Specific programs include:Childcare Center Licensed child care facility. OUR Child Care Center is the only licensed child care facility in Longmont offering a variety of scholarships that are accessible and affordable to all income levels. We serve children six weeks to six years.Infant, Toddler, and Preschool children enjoy warm, inviting classroom environments and outdoor play areas with developmentally appropriate practices that support school readiness.Developmental activities include gross motor and fine motor, language and reading, math and science, sensory, art, music, and social/emotional activities which help each child develop to his or her greatest potential. Program is open to anyone in the St. Vrain Valley School District with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Availble on sliding scale and +CCAP. Sixty openings total. Located at 50 E Rogers Rd Longmont CO 80501Daily Hot Meals Free breakfast and hot lunch. Located at 250 3rd Avenue, open Mon-Fri, 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Day Shelter Offers basic resources, hot meals and showers and referrals to services to homeless and near homeless adults. The Day Shelter is a multi-service program for homeless adults and those persons living in marginal situations. It provides clients with the following services: daily meal, emergency food, clothing, sleeping bags, blankets, transportation, personal care options (hygiene items, showers, and laundry), mail service, voicemail accounts, other basic survival resources, and referrals to related services such as job services, public assistance, and health care.When appropriate, assistance with obtaining identification will be provided. They offer confidentiality, respect, understanding, honesty, timeliness, and supportive advice.Located 250 3rd Ave Longmont CO 85011, hours are 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.Food Bank Available to those in need who have obtained food vouchers from OUR intake process. Contact for more information. Warming Shelter A building for the transient to stay warm when the weather is cold. The Warming Center is designed to prevent risk to persons from freezing temperatures. The Warming Center opens when the weather is forecast to be wet and 30 degrees or at subzero or the wind chill factor below zero. Three staff members are on the coordinating team. Volunteers who have received extensive training in boundary setting, mental health and substance abuse issues, safety, CPR and first aid assist. No families.
