Services: The Cavanaugh Treatment Center is primary treatment (28 days) a residential facility for teens, age 12-17, (12 Beds-Girls and 16 Beds-Boys) recovering from alcoholism and other drug dependencies. ANd house pregnant ladies and/or with kids under 12 yrs old (long term).
The primary goal of our program is to aid the residents' return to society as functional, responsible, alcohol and drug free members of this community. Each aspect of the program's environment is aimed at enhancing the adolescent's sense of self worth, self reliance, and self responsibility for maintaining personal recovery Improvement of family and interpersonal relationships, the development of a peer group support system and the expansion of problem solving skills are also expected treatment outcomes.
Some services are: room and board, group therapy, one to one counseling, family conferences and participation, Alcoholics/Narcotics Anonymous involvement, recreational and cultural programs, a supportive and therapeutic environment, medical, psychological and dietary support, individual recovery program, supervised homelike living conditions, community services, vocational or educational guidance, public school education and family focus weekends.
