*Financial assistance for adult day centers. Meals and snacks are provided. Adult day centers are for adults who have limited opportunities for recreational and educational activities.
*Staff at Scenic Valley offer Caregiver Support which is available to seniors and their families to learn about services, eligibility requirements, and access to the services that you need and want.
*Financial assistance is provided for older persons needing help with chore services Chore services include yard work, sidewalk maintenance, heavier work, seasonal jobs, and more involved housecleaning around the home.
*Provides financial assistance for a 24 hour system that alerts first responders in case of an emergency.
Provides financial assistance for legal advice, counseling, and representation by an attorney in many types of civil, (non criminal) legal matters Typical legal issues involve the following: Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance issues, social security, SSI, veteran's and other benefit programs, housing and real estate issues, sale solicitations, and credit problems, wills an estate planning matters, guardianship, Conservatorship, and elder abuse.
*Provides financial assistance for a trained respite worker to provide respite services in the home in order to allow the primary caregiver a break Respite is for an older person that is not able to attend an adult day center.
*Provide financial assistance for transportation services through the local transit operator.
Scenic Valley also serves as a leader on aging issues and as an advocate for older Americans and assure older Americans have access to services

2. Be a resident of Dubuque County
3. Meet certain income guidelines
4. Apply for any and all benefits
5. Register for work (unless disabled) and participate in promise jobs and JTPA.
6. Have emergency basic needs that cannot be met by other means.
