Services: The food bank works with partner agencies and others to coordinate locations and partnerships to distribute fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, beans and rice, and other staples to clients who would otherwise not be able to access such food. Trucks go to community centers, schools and other central locations where the food is distributed directly to those in need.
Distributions will accommodate up to a maximum of 250 families. Clients receive enough food for approximately 3-4 days of meals depending on family size.

Assistance will be paid for cancer patients in Collier or Lee County during the time the cancer patient is in treatment, either chemotherapy or radiation or hospice care.

Services: The Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys offers assistance to qualified cancer patients living in the Florida Keys, and to aid them in their quest for education and treatment for their disease, in whatever way possible, whenever possible. Services provided include covering the costs of living expense assistance such as: phone bills, utility payment assistance, rent payment assistance, mortgage payment assistance, food vouchers, transportation, etc.

Services: The diocese offers many services at various locations in Sarasota County. Our Mother's House offers transitional housing for homeless mothers and children. Bethesda House is a drop in center located at 1670 Fourth Street, Sarasota, for any HIV+ person(s) and their families, partners, etc. Services offered there include: food pantry, clothing bank, a laundry and shower facility, HIV/AIDS psycho-educational groups, professional individual, couples and family counseling, case management, intensive case management, transportation assistance, job referral and training, self-sufficiency groups, linking to medical services, financial assistance, support groups and safe social networking Clients may request food assistance once every three months.
