Eligibility: Adults 18 years and older who meet income guidelines and are experiencing a fuel emergencyy, and/or whose furnace was red-tagged. ShareHeat is for CVPS customers only. Individuals will also be referred to the seasonal fuel program.
Documents To Bring: For electrical service, a shut off notice is required for crisis fuel and electrical help. Proof is required for all income of every household member, and receipts for expenses paid in the last 30 days.

Eligibility: Adults 18 years and older who meet income guidelines, and who have had an unpredictable expense (car repair, catastrophic event such as fire, death in the family, furnace needing repair, furnace red-tagged, high fuel costs, house repair, illness, income reduced, loss of employment, medical expenses) or who are experiencing extreme cold weather temperatures. ShareHeat is for CVPS customers only. Individuals who have not yet applied for State of Vermont seasonal fuel assistance, may receive Crisis Fuel assistance on one occasion only.

For all household members: Expense receipts and pay stubs for the last 30 days; verification of SSI, Reach Up, Food Stamps; verification of all unearned income; all household members Social Security numbers
