Services: The Salvation Army of Lake County provides The Emergency Assistance program of The Salvation Army offers emergency crisis help with the most crucial needs. Individuals and families can receive assistance with food, clothing, medical prescriptions and financial assistance for some utilities. Through this program people are helped to stabilize their situation.
Hours: 8:30a - 11:30a & 1:00p-4:00p Monday, Tuesday, Thursday; 9:00a-11:30a & 1:00p-4:00p, Wednesday; 8:30a-12:00p Friday.
Eligibility: Residents of Lake and Sumter County.

AFTER making appointment you need:
1. A picture ID for everyone in your home over the age of 17.
2. Social Security cards for everyone in your home.
3. Proof of all monthly income including Social Security, child support that you RECEIVE, food stamps, financial help from a friend or family member, pay stubs from your job for one month, etc.
4. Proof of all monthly expenses (bills) including utilities (a shut off or disconnect notice & the last months bill if you are coming in for utilities assistance), child support you PAY, phone bills, insurance bills, rent or mortgage bills, etc.

The food for the pantry is purchased in bulk from the Suncoast Harvest Food Bank. We also receive generous contributions from our congregation. Publix provides bread and baked goods twice monthly.

Eligibility: Must be a resident of Hernando County in need.
Documents To Bring: Show up at the facility between the hours of 9a - 3p on Wednesdays. Must have proof of residency, ID or Drivers license and SS Cards for each person in the household.
