Services: The Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP) is a collaboration between Bringing Our Community Home, Casa Esperanza, Catholic Charities, Legal Aid Foundation, Transition House, and the Rental Housing Mediation Task Force.The services offered are financial assistance for rent due, deposits, utilities, moving costs, help with locating housing, legal aid to inform people of their rights, and mediation to help prevent evictions.Santa Barbara County 2010 Very-Low Income Limits: (Household Size/Maximum Annual Income)
Eligibility: The services are available to people who have an income of 50% or less than the Area Median Income, (see chart in program description), and are at risk of becoming homeless, or are currently homeless, and have an eviction notice with their name on it. Case management is required of all participants.
