Services: Their mission is to establish a new beginning through a center which addresses economics, education, recreation, and spiritual development that betters the quality of life, resulting in a community of healthy, educated, loving people. Each of these following programs offers assistance as well as aid in the empowerment of this Horry County community:
1.Business Center: fulfilling the CDC?s economic development initiative, this business incubator program offers a professional business atmosphere, six fully-furnished executive offices for below-market rent, professional supportive services, administrative and receptionist staff, conference room availability, and technical assistance for business growth and development through Coastal Carolina University?s Small Business Development Center.
2.GC Clothing Closet: An on-site clothing closet is available on weekdays to provide both casual and professional wear for all persons in the family on an as-needed basis. This closet is operated by clothing donations from the community.
3.Joseph?s Storehouse: An on-site food pantry is available on weekdays to provide emergency food assistance. They have partnered with the Lowcountry Food Bank to provide this assistance.
4.Youth Programs: Their youth programs are provided in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice.
oTeen After-School Center: Operated Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, this program provides youth ages 13 ? 17 with a positive after-school environment. Participants receive tutoring and mentoring support, access to a computer lab, study/library room, and a recreational game room. Partnerships with local agencies and businesses provide speakers to share knowledge about career and educational opportunities. These partnerships have included the Horry County Public Library, SCORE (Senior Corps of Retired Executives), and the Family Outreach Center.
oJuveniles Experiencing Excellence Program: This program helps youth ages 13 ? 17 gain employment skills and 80 hours of employment experience.
