OVERVIEW: Offers a resource and day center, permanent housing programs, and a winter relief emergency shelter for homeless adults. - - SERVICES: - 1) COMMUNITY SUPPORTIVE HOUSING: Provides permanent housing for formerly homeless men, 18 and older, who have mental health and substance abuse issues and have successfully completed substance abuse treatment programs and/or transitional housing programs. Also assists individuals with a history of homelessness. Case management is provided for referral to appropriate services. - - 2) RESOURCE AND DAY CENTER: Provides year round case management services to individuals in need. Assists with obtaining vital records (license, birth certificates, and social security cards), transportation, such as bus tokens, furniture referrals to individuals moving into a new place, and information and referral. Also offers a drop-in center with coffee, snacks, showers, use of phones and computers, use of address for personal purposes, clothing and toiletries. - - 3) SAFE HAVEN FOR MEN: Provides permanent housing to chronically homeless men, 18 and older, with mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Individuals reside with Resident Manager and is also provided with case management services. Must have a referral from Case Worker. Will also need picture identification and medical/psychiatric records. - - 4) WINTER RELIEF EMERGENCY SHELTER: Provides an overnight winter shelter October-April, coordinated by Arundel House of Hope Day Center. First come, first served with a daily waiting list. Must have a state issued picture ID, but will help individuals without an ID to get a state issued ID. Individuals should call daily at 7AM to have their name placed on the waiting list. Meals are also provided. Individuals are not allowed in facility with take home methadone, and service may be restricted based on behavior. There are 3 sites, 1 & 2 are located in Glen Burnie/ North County and the 3rd one in Annapolis. Individuals can walk in for assistance, must pass breathalyzer test, and provide intake information for admission. - - 5) WOMEN IN SAFE HAVEN (W.I.S.H): Provides permanent housing for chronically homeless women who have mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Individuals reside with Resident Manager and is also provided with case management services. Individuals must have an income. -
