This agency operates the following programs:Clothing Center - Free clothing, 9:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Thursday Commodities/Senior Box Program - People over 60 years old, with a low income can get a commodity once a month for 6 - 12 monthsDonations - Accepts a variety of donations. Will pick up donations if time permitEnergy Conservation - South Dakota Building Science Training Center provides energy conservation information to the community.Employment Assistance - Program offers grants up to $150.00 which enables clients to accept work that requires tools, uniforms, licensees, etc.Dakota Dream Saving Program - Assist families to obtain housing through a match savings program.Food Pantries - Low-income participants being eligible once a month for this service.Furnace Replacement - Replaced if furnace is unsafe, costs more than 50% of new furnace to repair, is outdated or is not cost efficient.Garden Kits - Available in April or May, kits consist of approximately 11 packets of seeds and live plants.Information & Referral - Available to help point people to programs who could help (ie. Will need copy of past due utility bill, proof of income and picture ID. Funds available on a first come, first serve basis. Non-Financial Assistance Programs:Food Pantry: For those needing assistance with food. Clothing Vouchers: For those needing assistance for Clothing. Assistance may only be given 1 time for every 6 months.Household Boxes: For those needing assistance with items used to cook and eat a meal. The Apartment Lease must be shown to the Case-Worker in order to receive assistance.Assistance is limited according to what is available at the time.Pathway of Hope: Program for eligible families. Long term case management program to help families move beyond crisis into stability and becoming self-sufficient. Families will be required to meet with a caseworker to design a plan to meet goals, needs and objectives (ex. goal setting, assistance getting healthcare, educational opportunities, etc).
