Comprehensive Emergency Services(CES), a 60-day crisis intervention program for families with minor children; specialized foster care. Holiday programs; emergency food, shelter and other basic needs for individuals and families; employment training and computer training; residential services for adolescent boys; Project Impact, a free supportive education project for teenage moms and other young women, ages 16-18, who have dropped out of high school. Eligibility: Varies according to individual programs. The majority of programs are limited to low-income Woonsocket residents. The following documentation is required for all services:
Proof of all household income or no income, most recent FIP/food stamp statement, TDI, unemployment statement
Picture ID for applicant only
Social security cards for ALL household members
Proof of birth for ALL household members (birth certificates/RI Medicaid cards)
Current rent receipt, current lease, current mortgage statement

Services: Provides a one time payment to help the applicant pay an outstanding bill - i.e. rent, utilities. Once the committee approval is obtained, if the request is for food, the applicant is given a voucher which can then be presented at a supermarket to pay for groceries. If the request is for something other than food the voucher is forwarded, by the committee, to the landlord, utility, etc. to pay an outstanding bill.
