Free meals are served at noon on Tuesdays. GAAP also is a referral center for Ryan White Titles, HOPWA and PAC. Other services include condom distribution, literature, and outreach. GAAP administers the TREE (The Replenishment of Everyday Essentials) project, which provides grocery items that Food Stamps don't cover, such as toiletries.

Program Description: The Bread of the Mighty Food Bank (BOTM), Food-On-The-Move Mobile Pantry (MP) operation is an on-going and growing program. Originally, mobile pantry operations were initiatedto provide a needed outlet for USDA TEFAP commodities distribution into un-served and under-served communities. In the past year, the mobile pantry has grown into a major venue for the distributionof the increasing amount of donated perishable, fresh, and high nutritional value product received from retailers like Walmart, Publix, Winn-Dixie, Performance Food Group and others. With this added dimension, the “Food-On-The-Move” title was given to all mobile pantry operations from acquisition to distribution. With the Food-on-the-Move Mobile Pantry Program, BOTM is evolving to meet the new environment of giving and to better meet the needs of the hungry of their community. At the front end of Food-On-The-Move operations is the pick-up of donations from retail/wholesale donors such as Walmart, Publix, Winn-Dixie, Performance Food Group and others. At the destination end of the donations, BOTM conducts two types of Food-On-The-Move Mobile Pantry (MP) operations: - “drop & go” and “stay & serve.” A “drop & go” load is simply taken to a host pantry site and unloaded for distribution by host-site personnel. An average of 9 “drop and go” loads are transported each week. The loads range from 800 to 2,000 pounds of a variety of food product and USDA commodities. These loads are normally completed using a single truck, and there is no service or delivery fee to the receiving pantry site. “Stay & serve” is a traditional MP event conducted by BOTM personnel, often with local volunteer help. The loads range from 850 to 14,050 pounds of donated and USDA product. A “stay & serve” event requires 2 box trucks, a van and a pick-up (when available) to transport product and personnel. BOTM currently conducts ftheir and five “stay & serve” events weekly, serving 28 sites throughout their 5-county area during each two-month cycle. Sites are located from 2 to 110 miles from the BOTM warehouse. Some sites are visited monthly, some every other month. Each visit requires from 6 to 9 people to prepare and load product, drive, organize on-site activities, distribute the food and care for the people served. Within Alachua County, there are 25 Food-On-The-Move sites serving thousands of Alachua County men, women and children. 5 of these sites are in low-income housing areas populated by seniors and the disabled. An average of 60, Food-On-The-Move visits are conducted each month throughout the entire BOTM service area, most of which are in Alachua County. Historically, much of the mobile pantry funding came through USDA reimbursements for commodities distribution operations. While USDA commodities continue to be received and distributed, the program has been cut back with fewer commodities and reimbursement fundingseverely cut for related operations. Fortunately, increasing amounts of donated food product have simultaneously become available from various retail and wholesale donors and back-filled the absent commodities. But,there is a cost associated with the acquisition and distribution of donatedproduct, consequently the Food-On-The-Move Mobile Pantry Program was birthed.
