Payments are generally the amount needed to retain or restore service, although if that amount is large, the payment may not cover entire amount. Funds expire quickly. This is a program of last resort; clients cannot receive ongoing support from this program. Clients can receive rent or utility assistance once per year.

Eligibility: Residents of Holmes, Coshocton, Ashland, and Knox counties, whose rent is 30 days past due or who have a disconnect notice from their utility company. Family income must be less than 125% of the Federal Poverty Limit.

Money goes directly to the creditor, not to the client. This is a program of last resort; clients cannot receive ongoing support from this program.

Eligibility: Residents of Wayne County whose utilities are in danger of being disconnected or who need assistance with a rent payment or a rent deposit. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis. Residents of Orrville must have applied to the Salvation Army for assistance and have been denied.

Client can only receive a maximum of $300 total per family in assistance. Will also provide hotel vouchers to transients in need of emergency shelter if funds are available.
Hours: Voicemail available 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Most calls returned within 24 hours.
Eligibility: Client must live in Chatham Twp., Lafayette Twp., York Twp., Creston, West Salem or be from the following zip codes: 44215, 44217, 44235, 44251, 44253, 44254, 44273 or 44275. Client must have exhausted all other available government assistance programs before receiving service.
