SERVICES:1) OFFICE OF HOME ENERGY PROGRAMS: Provides MEAP and EUSP grants to eligible families, renters, roomers, boarders and homeowners toward the cost of heating in the winter and electricity year round. Grant is based on the type of fuel used, household size, household income and annual consumption.2) Electrical Universal Service Program (EUSP): Assists with electric utility bill payment. Client is required to have bill in his/her own name and be on a monthly budget billing plan. Some funds are available for a one time only benefit for past due bill payments. 3) FURNACES: Limited funds are available for clients to be referred to the weatherization office for furnace repair, replacement and/or other weatherization procedures.4) WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: (See separate listing.) Furniture is available on a one time emergency basis ONLY, for families who have experienced a fire or moving from a shelter (must have lease for new place). Families can obtain vouchers to receive free clothing once every 6 months. Thrift Store is located at 301 Vine and Eastern Shore Drive.2) EMERGENCY FOOD: Provides food every 30 days for those who qualify. Must have ID and SS card.3) FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Provides up to $60 per year, per family, for help with prescriptions, utilities or rent when funds are available. Must have proof of income, proof of expenses, turn-off/eviction, ID and Social Security cards for every member of the household.4) YOUTH CLUBS: Offers a variety of sports and other programs to children in the community.5)HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE 2012: CLOSED.CHRISTMAS ANGEL TREE SIGN-UPS Begins 10/16-10/19 from 9AM-11:30AM & 1PM-3PM in the Youth Club Gym. Provides Christmas wishlistitems for families with children ages 12 and under.
