Services: Provides a Housing Search Training. Assists in the application process for HCA and SOS funds for rental deposits or late rent depending on qualifications. DSLC does not write a check or approve checks for HCA or SOS funds. If approved by the funding sources, not DSLC, the amount the funding source is paying (not necessarily the amount requested) is sent to the landlord or vendor.DSLC's housing team is actively involved in advocacy efforts on behalf of individuals and directed at systems change. Our activities include attending public meetings and participating in the Housing Advocacy Group, Continuum of Care, Task Force on the Homeless and other groups working towards the development of more affordable, accessible housing.
