Services: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS: Responsible for the county policies, county budge, set county tax levy, approve bonds and reports, economic development for the county
COUNTY ATTORNEY: The attorney and legal advisor for the county who renders legal advice to county and district offices relative to official duties
DMV: DMV provides commercial and non commercial drivers licenses, photo ID's, driving manuals, driving tests, driving records, school permits, and parking permits
ENGINEER'S OFFICE: In charge of construction and maintenance for all of the Secondary Road System
GENERAL ASSISTANCE: Provides assistance on a temporary basis for a limited period of time It can be used to pay for basic needs that include rent/lot rent; interest on original mortgage; utilities-gas, electric, and water; burial; and food vouchers for clients who are unable to work.
MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION: Provides a gas voucher to the University of Iowa Hospitals
RECORDER: Issues licenses for birth, boating, death, fishing, hunting, marriage and snowmobiles
TREASURER OFFICE: This office does tax collection for the county, issues motor vehicle titles and registrations, driver's license, financial management of county revenues
VETERANS AFFAIRS: Helps wartime veterans or the family of a wartime veteran with rent, utilities and limited medical expenses in times of need.

FOOD PANTRY: Provides a food box with grocery items for persons in need
GIFTS FROM THE HEART: Provides Christmas toys from community and organizations are distributed to children in the community.
HOMELESS SHELTER: Homeless shelter available for men and women
HOT MEAL: Provides hot meal for lunch and supper.
HYGIENE MINISTRY: Provides hygiene products to those in need such as toothpaste, face soap, deodorant, and shampoo Given out once a month Can apply every 4 months
PRISON MINISTRY: Provides ministry to those affiliated with the state prison.
THANKSGIVING DINNER: Provides a Thanksgiving dinner for persons in need
TRANSPORTATION SERVICES: Provides transportation to University of Iowa Hospital medical appointments for those needing help getting there Also available is a one-way bus ticket to a safe destination, which is a one-time option On a few occasions, a vehicle has been donated to be given to someone in need.
UTILITY ASSISTANCE: Provide utility assistance when funds are available.
