Services: PURPOSE: To provide crisis assistance to the needy SERVICES: Food, clothing, assistance with medication bills, fuel and utility bills. Contact with the service is via telephone only.
The Food Pantry is open Mondays from 10am-1pm.

Services: PURPOSE: To operate as a religious and charitable organization giving spiritual, moral and financial up-lift to all who are in need. SERVICES: 1. Food Pantry to provide emergency food boxes to individuals and families. If funds are available, will also provide food vouchers to families with small children who need items the pantry does not have. Clients need to present proof of income and expenses. 2. Clothing Closet is open on Wednesdays to provide free clothing to people in need once every 60 days. 3. Prescription Assistance: A person can have an interview with a caseworker to determine need. If need is determined, Salvation Army can provide up to $35 in funds to help purchase medication. 4. Holiday Assistance: Toys, food and gift certificates, utilities, head care and gifts to the elderly in nursing homes. 5. Crisis Assistance for rent, utilities and mortgage. Clients must be on the verge of eviction and must meet with a caseworker. Payments are provided to the utility company and/or landlord. 6 Shelter operated jointly with Cooperative Christian Ministries all year. (see Cooperative Christian Ministry entry in data base). 7. Children's scouting program: Boys and girls scouting programs offer children the opportunity to earn merit badges in character building programs. Offers fellowship and recreation programs for children ages 6-16. 8. Fellowship/social/worship/Bible Study groups for men and women. 9. Disaster Assistance during and after floods, fires and other natural disasters. 10. Emergency Cooling Station, 10am - 4pm M-F Adult Sunday School Room. Children must be with a parent or guardian. Clients must check in and out.

Eligibility: Personal interview with each client; type of help or referral is based on evaluation of need.
Documents To Bring: Bring I.D., utility bill disconnecton or eviction notice due within 5 days, proof of income, proof of expenses, address, social security cards for all family members in the home, and birth dates.

Clients must demonstrate the ability to maintain or a plan for sustainability as part of their responsibility for the assistance provided. As part of their plan for personal responsibility, an increasing number of clients are assigned a referral agreement to engage them in specific counseling or training resources in the community, that will equip them to avoid recurring crisis.
