Services: Love INC Sturgis offers:Life INC - classes on topics such as finances, parenting, Christianity, nutrition, and marriage . These classes will provide incentives for people as they complete their homework and achieve life goals. Winter, Spring and Fall quarters are at a different partnering church. Life INC classes are held Thursday evenings 6:15pm - 8:00pm. A free meal is offered at 5:30pm. Clothe-A-Kid Helping Parents make their dollars stretch. Anyone struggling financially or in a place of need can participate. Starting in June, Love INC will work with churches over the summer to find a match so families can go shopping in August.Bundles of Hope - a diaper partnership with Blessed Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Will pick up donations if time permitEnergy Conservation - South Dakota Building Science Training Center provides energy conservation information to the community.Employment Assistance - Program offers grants up to $150.00 which enables clients to accept work that requires tools, uniforms, licensees, etc.Dakota Dream Saving Program - Assist families to obtain housing through a match savings program.Food Pantries - Low-income participants being eligible once a month for this service.Furnace Replacement - Replaced if furnace is unsafe, costs more than 50% of new furnace to repair, is outdated or is not cost efficient.Garden Kits - Available in April or May, kits consist of approximately 11 packets of seeds and live plants.Information & Referral - Available to help point people to programs who could help (ie. CHIP, TANF, etc).Lead Hazard Identification - E.P.A. certified staff that will refer to local resources.Library/Public Access Computers - Computer use and free Wi-Fi available.Low Income Organizing - Community Action Teams are volunteers organizing people to help themselves and others in the community.Medical Equipment Lending - Available for those in need of bathtub seats, shower and tub rails.Personal Care Items - Laundry soap, dish soap, hand soap, toilet tissue, shampoo, and toothpaste available once a month when supplies are available.Prisoner Support Group - Activities are held for family support and monthly South Dakota Prison events.School Supplies - For children (ages 5 (born on or before September 1, 2013) -18 and low-income) who are in school or home school. Distribution is from 9:00am - 3:30pm, Mondays - Thursdays, August 13 - August 30, 2018. Must be currently certified (meaning signed up at WSDCAP office, with updated income and household information) and income eligible. No certifications will be happen on August 13.Affordable Care Navigator - Assists with the enrollment in affordable health insurance.Thrift Store - Low cost items with proceeds going to fund free food and special projects. 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday Weatherization For homes or mobile homes includes, but is not limited to, windows, doors, sealing vents, etc.Youth Recreation - Swim passes and scholarships for camps, or other youth recreation activities. Available activity depends on site location. Children must be income eligible.
