Services:
The program provides a drop-in center for homeless mentally ill adults who are primarily in the Skid Row area of downtown Los Angeles. The center provides homeless support services for people who have a chronic mental illness, including people who have developmental disabilities or a dual diagnosis of substance abuse and mental illness. Services include art therapy for people with mental illness, case management, clothing, drug abuse counseling, drug dependency support groups, housing, laundry, meals, personal toiletries, showers, specialized information and referral, telephone access and welfare rights assistance. The program does not serve families or people whose primary problems are homelessness or substance abuse. People may visit the center as often as they like if they abide by the rules which prohibit violence and weapons. The Art Project site provides a space for people with a chronic mental illness to drop in and create art in an art studio setting. There are no geographic restrictions.

Services:
The program provides homeless support services for people 12 through 24 years who are in the Hollywood area. Services include certificates and forms assistance, clothing, sack lunches/dinners, specialized information and referral, and temporary mailing addresses. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to people in the Hollywood area. There are no geographic restrictions. Certificates and forms assistance includes assistance with obtaining birth certificates, ID's, and social security cards. Legal counseling is provided once a week by attorneys from Public Counsel. Specialized information and referral is provided and includes referrals for medical services, shelters and additional support services. A mobile health clinic is available weekly; this service is provided by Children's Hospital and Saban Free Clinic. A meals and a snack are provided daily; individuals may come every day.

Hours:
Services are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 10:00am to 11:30am and 1:00pm to 3:00pm; Thursday, 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

Eligibility:
Walk in for service, or to get a lunch or dinner.

Documents To Bring:
Proof of age is required; ID cards and drivers licenses are accepted. Staff assist in obtaining ID's, social security cards and birth certificates if necessary.
