Services: Provides shelter that serves adult homeless men age 18 and older, offering meals, bed, clothing, showers, health clinic, and daily chapel service to as many as 335 homeless men.Clients are bused to UGM Calvert Place from The Bridge (the city’s homeless service provider) during the late afternoon and bused back in the morning.The men’s facility has secure lockers, where clients are allowed to store some of their possessions. When a client goes through intake, he is assigned a particular bed. That same bed is his for as long as he stays at the shelter.

Services: The A.Fern Norville Shelter Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children and young adults who are displaced from their families, or who are involved in the foster care system due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. Through fund raising events, corporate and community donations and bequests, the Foundation provides support for program development aimed at improving education and like skills training for involved youth, special events activities, community education and awareness programs and any other financial needs that are forthcoming. The A. Fern Norville Shelter Foundation was established in the beginning to create a Center that would provide a home- like environment for displaced children and young victims of abuse. The purpose of the Shelter, then and now, is not to be a permanent solution to the child's dilemma, but a safe place to shelter them and nurture them until the proper agency can find a solution to their unique problem.
