Services: SVDP Vancouver provides direct assistance to households in need:
- Rent and utility assistance is available on a first come, first served basis. Funding is available once per lifetime (up to $100.00 for utilities; rental assistance is determined on a case by case basis). No funding is available for oil/wood/propane.
- Gas vouchers for medical appointments only.
- Limited prescription assistance funding is available (up to $30.00).
- School clothing is available to those who fill out an application in July for assistance in August.
- Food and clothing are available to anyone in need.
Eligibility: Unrestricted. Rent and utility assistance is available for families with youth age 18 and younger residing in the household who live within the boundaries of Vancouver and Evergreen Public Schools.

Services: Provides a short-term housing intervention program for low-income veterans and their families experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Veterans and their families can be assisted with housing through case management, pending eligibility. If eligible, assistance and support may include move-in/rental assistance, eviction prevention, benefits support, employment and education services, legal aid around housing barriers, and other expenses that may support stable housing. Must be willing to work with a caseworker. May require clients to be alcohol- and drug-free. Assistance in any of these programs depends on availability of funds.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
Eligibility: Veterans and veteran families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness and have an income at or below 50% of Area Median Income with any discharge other than "Dishonorable." Veteran must be present in household.

Services: In partnership with local faith-based organizations, Community Action allocates emergency rent assistance (up to $650 towards rent) and first month's rent assistance (up to $650 towards the first month's rent) on a very limited basis. Households can receive assistance once in a two-year period. Assistance is based on available funds; there is no guarantee of assistance.
Hours: New Rental Agreements: 24 hours per day / 7 days per week Eviction Prevention: 9am on the 8th of the month. If the 8th falls on a holiday or weekend, the call-in date will be the first business day after.
